Saving Money and the Environment

If you want to save money on your gas bill, there is a school for that now. There is a fleet driver in East Lancashire offering courses to local businesses on how to save money while driving. Specifically, he’s offering tips on ways to drive which will use less gas. This has the dual benefit of being cheaper and environmentally friendly. This article details how it works and profiles the school and its founder.
In response to spiralling fuel costs, Paul Halton, who lives in Bacup, has set up an ‘eco-driving’ school which is the first of its kind in the county.
Mr Halton helps local firms cut the amount they spend on petrol and diesel by 20 per cent by improving drivers’ economy.
The best driving instructors can offer something unique to their students. You can learn the basics of driving out of a book–but driving instructors who are worth their salt can offer little tips and tidbits of knowledge that are fully worth knowing. It is for this reason that we really send our young ones to driving school–so that they can learn from the professionals who have interesting tools of the trade to teach. In this case, it is businesses that are the students and the “interesting tips” are ways to save both money and the environment.
